VIDEO: Nuevo Laredo: Curfew at US Consulate after Wave of Violence

                     The US consulate said the measure will remain in place until further notice.

After a violent day in Nuevo Laredo , Tamaulipas, the United States Consulate, in that city, put a curfew on his staff, and also alerted the citizens of the American Union of risk situations.

The consulate said, in several messages on its official Twitter network, that it is constantly monitoring violence in the city of Tamaulipas, after the clash between government authorities and members of criminals.

A violent day was lived on Friday night in this city, since at various points shootings, blockages in avenues, as well as burning of trailers and private vehicles were reported.
According to local media versions, after the events there is a balance of a dead criminal and six points that members of the Northeast Cartel (CDN) closed where they burned the vehicles.
There were reports of detonations by firearm near the Military Barracks, La Fe neighborhood, Hipódromo, Buena Vista and Hidalgo, presumably due to shootings between armed civilians and elements of the Mexican Army.
The violence in Tamaulipas:
Last Thursday there were also clashes between members of organized crime and the military, which left six aggressors and a soldier dead.
Yesterday afternoon customers and motorists sought refuge in a housing unit in Benito Juárez . There was a nearby shooting  at shopping center, where customers and motorists sought refuge.
The shooting was recorded Friday afternoon at Avenida Reforma in front of Paseo Reforma, a commercial complex highly frequented by New York citizens.
After the shooting, armed civilians entered the commercial complex and some of them would have been captured by federal forces.
This could be captured through security cameras of a cinema located within said commercial complex.
In the restaurant area, diners were thrown to the ground when the detonations were heard outside, as well as in a banking institution also in the place. Just Thursday, in Nuevo Laredo there were three attacks against the military, resulting in seven dead, one military and six suspected criminals.
Given these situations, in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo León, a risk situation was disseminated, in which travelers are requested to suspend the journey to Nuevo Laredo , due to blockages, shootings and burning of vehicles in various parts of the city border.
The violence does not stop in Nuevo Laredo , Tamaulipas, and that is that during this afternoon in the afternoon there was a confrontation in a commercial center of the city, however, at nightfall social network users alerted about blockades and burning cars.

It was shortly before 10 p.m. that the national highway was reportedly blocked with several burning trailers, this as a result of a persecution between armed civilians and security forces.

According to a source from the Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas government, the criminals allegedly belong to the Northeast Cartel, and assaulted elements of the State Police and the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena).
Apparently, in this situation of blockages and burning cars, one of the aggressors died, and the authorities secured a vehicle, weapons and cartridges.
Another assault near midnight on security personnel was recorded, but it was possible to secure a car, five weapons, including a Barret and several cartridges.
It is worth mentioning that various areas of the city were held incommunicado due to the risk situation that was generated with these events. In total, there is a report of three vehicles and a downcast aggressor.
Meanwhile, federal and state corporations immediately began the removal of burning cars that blocked roads as well as the protection of strategic areas. Although it transpired that armed civilians attacked the facilities of the Sedena in Nuevo Laredo , there was no attack on the military headquarters.
So far, no municipal, state or federal authority has published or indicated what exactly is the situation of Nuevo Laredo , nor have they issued information on the people killed during these blockages and burning cars.
But, it is presumed that just like the shootings and blockades in Culiacán, Sinaloa , on October 17, that possibly a leader of a criminal organization – this time from the Northeast Cartel – was apprehended.
