Gun buybacks are too costly

The writer of the Jan. 1 letter “Guns aren’t going anywhere” didn’t mention the just compensation clause when referencing gun confiscation.

At an average cost of $300 per weapon, it would cost the federal government about $90 billion to reimburse those whose guns were taken.
