“Juancho”

In 2014 the federal prosecutor’s office in Chicago dropped the drug trafficking charges against “Juancho” due to evidence that he was killed three years prior.
Juancho was murdered in 2011  by orders of Chapo Guzmán, according to the testimony of Lucero Guadalupe Sánchez, a mistress of the former leader of the Sinaloa Cartel, who testified during the trial in New York.
She testified that one day when they were eating at the house where they lived together in Culiacán, Cóndor, secretary  of Chapo, arrived and informed her that Virgo, or Juancho, was dead.
At  first, she thought that she had died of an illness, until she saw Guzmán Loera get very serious and turn to see her to tell her that from then on everyone who betrayed him or “put the finger on him” was going to die, even if they were family members, women, or friends.
She then realized that Chapo had ordered the hit on his cousin.
Guzmán Rocha, a cousin of El Chapo, was one of the defendants in 2009, in what is believed to be the most important drug case in Chicago history.
Juancho controlled the flow of narcotics from Culiacán, Mexico, was an intermediary and logistical coordinator for the shipment of large quantities of heroin and cocaine to the Chicago area, according to the lawsuit against him, indicates the Tribune.
In a 2014 document sent to federal judge Rubén Castillo, the prosecution informs him that they obtained “credible information” that states that Guzmán Rocha was assassinated in December 2011 due to “cartel-related violence.”
An armed group abducted Juancho the road to Navolato. He was accompanied by José Miguel Bastida Manjarrez and both were found with traces of torture and gunshot wounds.
