The brief, yet viral, moment came Thursday during the second night of the Democratic presidential debates in Miami.
MSBNC’s live shot caught the Vermont senator moving his arms toward the former vice president, which promoted a wide-eyed response and a slight dodge from the Delaware politician.
Moderator Rachel Maddow was speaking to tell Sanders he had 30 seconds to respond as Sanders raised his hand and moved it to right. The camera was zoomed in on Biden as Sanders hand broke into the frame.

And the reactions on Twitter were priceless.
Hand raising came up throughout both nights of the debate. MSNBC’s moderators a few times told candidates to “raise your hand” if they supported specific policies.
While Sanders’ hand got Biden’s attention, Biden’s hand also made some waves on Twitter, as some users joked that he didn’t understand the “raise your hand” questions.
